Finding Blue Rag Gardens is Easy!
FROM SOUTH (Charlottesville): Route 29 N to Madison then north on
Route. 231 toward Sperryville. We are on the right 9 miles north of Madison.
Our sign is beside the driveway
FROM NORTH (Washington D.C./Northern Virginia): Route 29 South to Warrenton and
business 29 into Warrenton. Turn right on Route 211 W. at Howard Johnson's.
It is "about 33 miles to Sperryville, Left on 231/522 ,Go one block to "T"
and then 1 mile to right on 231 SOUTH. It is about 12 miles to our gardens
on the left. Our sign is beside the driveway.
We are about 10 to 12 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Graves Mountain Lodge
is 5 to 6 miles around the mountain. Several restaurants are within a 15 to 30
minutes' drive. Hiking at Old Rag Mountain is 15 minutes away. There are bed and
breakfasts and wineries all around us. The trip makes for a lovely day or week-end in
the country.
